ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AC5300???

Hey guys, new to the forum not sure if this is the right place to post this but is the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 a good modem for gaming? or is it just another marketing gimmick? I'm planning to switch my ISP to AT&T as well since I read from Get Internet that they're really good for gaming. Not really sure about the credibility of that. Can anyone give me suggestions or input? Thanks!!

The GT is a Router, not a modem. :think:
